Stewart House on Lake Malone

Description: Mr. James Stewart began construction of his vacation home on Lake Malone in 1972. Unfortunately, he passed away before his dream hideaway was completed. It has now been finished and creatively decorated with antiques, vintage linens, and hand made crafts.

This spacious 3 bedroom, 1½ bath lake front cabin has a beautiful, scenic view of the lake from two decks. Relax in the rockers on front porch from which deer, wild turkey, and raccoons are often spotted. You can watch and listen to the rain from the tin covered bottom deck/porch.

From the private boat dock fish for channel catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, and red ear sunfish. Bring your own boat and park it at   the private dock. Or take the rowboat for a leisurely paddle up the cove. Lake Malone State Park in Western Kentucky is known for its unusual sandstone cliffs.

View from deck...yes it's "On" the water.

The interior of the house is trimmed with antique barn wood. A game room is located in the loft with a pool table. While there look over the extensive Santa collection.

The three bedrooms are located on the main floor and two have a breathtaking view from the treetops. Sleep in the Kentucky Room with the original Eastern Kentucky moonshine still which was raided, Mama's Bedroom, or the Butterfly Room

Cook your breakfast on the 100-year-old wood cook stove, converted to electric. The lower floor opens onto a very large deck/porch . The den has a large fireplace to warm yourself by if your visit occurs during the cooler season.

All you will need for your visit is your clothes and food. The cabin is well-equipped with supplies. This peaceful, rustic, country cabin is the perfect escape for you and your loved ones.
